SWADLINCOTE – COLD, BUT DRY !
It’s official – at least as far as Natascha is concerned – that Swadlincote in Derbyshire is one of the coldest places in the UK! Natascha turned up for her slot on Touch FM’s Christmas Lights Roadshow on Friday (28th November 2008) to find that it was again freezing cold, as last year; too cold for people to stand and watch for long and so cold that she took to the stage with a large mug of hot tea in one hand! By the time she had finished her set she could no longer feel her feet and she, the radio and stage crew and the audience all had matching red noses! But at least it didn’t rain, like last time!!

Nevertheless the people of Swadlincote gamely stood their ground and enjoyed her set of 5 songs from her new album (for release shortly), giving her a good reception. Afterwards she signed autographs for half an hour and then to her surprise was asked to go back on stage to join Dave James (the presenter) and the rest of the crew + local covers band Recycled Teenagers for a rousing rendition of …. “Rocking around the Christmas Tree” (!) as a prelude to the lights on the aforementioned tree being switched on!

Thanks to Dave and his team and also to the people of Swadlincote for their support and friendliness.
